Big Fish, Hard Fights, Catch and Release
During the fall, bull reds stage along the Cocodrie coast in numbers that make for some of the most memorable inshore fishing you can find on the Gulf. Captain Aaron has put clients on 50 or 60 bull reds in a single day during peak season. These are not small fish. They run heavy, fight hard, and they all go back in the water.
Bull red trips are strictly catch and release. The fish are spawning adults, and putting them back is both required by Louisiana law and the right thing to do for the fishery. The experience of watching a 30-pound redfish eat and feeling it run is worth more than anything you could do with it in a cooler.
